Is Cal short for Calder?
The consensus is no, but Wild-Puck Blogs gives Cal his vote anyway.
Throw mine in there, too. Screw Doughty!

Clutterbuck, gets a Clutterkiss for Clutterbucking Getzlaf.
I won't say Clutterbuck hasn't had a good year, but Steve Mason is locking the Calder up. Six shutouts and a 1.91 GAA. For COLUMBUS.
I like grinders as much as anyone, but there's plenty of those available. It's not as easy finding a top-notch goalie.
Well, yeah, of course, he's not really in consideration, but he's certainly been as big a gift as this team has gotten in a terrible season. It's a compliment to him to even be discussed, even in an unrealistic sense.
Wild MVP at least?
No offense, but is anyone other than a Minnesota blog discussing it?
is clutterbuck seriously a rookie ?
does he qualify in the makarov sense of the word ???
btw: clutterbuck's presumed facebook statuses: genius.
;)
Kevin, Russo listed him as a runner-up for the Calder. That's really the only legit mention I've seen of it. Now stop being a party pooper. For a rookie who wasn't supposed to be in the NHL this year, to be #3 in hits and moving up the charts in goals, shots, and shots blocked, he's been damned impressive, even if the rest of the league is too busy wetting themselves over less interesting rookies. ;)
Yeah, Walk, he was drafted in 2006, he's got one year of pro under his belt in the AHL, and then he got called up after about 2 games this season and stuck like glue for his energy and hitting. But now he seems to have found a scoring touch. He's got 8 points in the last 13 games.
i guess with a name like clutterbuck, and with such a legend behind him, i kinda thought he was eastwood-age.
"I don't think it's nice you laughing. See my mule don't like people laughing. Gets the crazy idea you're laughing at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it."
