Khudobin to Everblades
Looks like Dimples is headed back into the (no doubt welcoming) arms of Coach Malcolm Cameron and the Florida Everblades. Great move by the organization to get him with a familiar coach, some familiar faces, and hopefully gobs and gobs of TOI so he's ready to back up Brusty next year.
The story is here.

Back him up? I think Anton has showed a lot of potential so far. Brust kills me with his play. I would much rather see Khudobin next season. Hell, I'd rather he back up Nolan this season. Barry just doesn't do it for me.
Fair enough. I can understand not liking Brusty but I LOVE him. I'm just a sucker for an aggressive goalie.
I just love Anton's quicks. He seems comfortable in the net and doesn't look to get rattled often. Barry frustrated me last season because it looked like you could get into his head a little bit. That being said...Anton was very unimpressive in the game in Sugarland.
By the way, I just discovered your site. I haven't missed any Aeros games in the last 2 and a half seasons, so it's great to see another dedicated Aeros fan on the internets. I show up on Hockey's Future every so often as "poiuy", heh. I look forward to more Aeros talk!
Yeah, he looked bad in Sugar Land which is why I'm not ready to hand him the reigns (well that and my Brusty love).
I keep hoping Brusty is a late bloomer... maybe getting a little more level headed as he gets older. I think Schaefer has been a good influence on him. (But man does Schaef look good this season?? Wow!)
Thanks for reading and commenting. I'm writing about the Aeros for ProHockeyNews.com this season, so I'm pretty excited. I think we're going to be really good unless we get poached too much by Minny.
I love Schaefer. I suggested on an Avs blog that they make a move for him because I think he belongs in the NHL and Raycroft...doesn't. Naturally, this would never happen and I probably get to enjoy Schaefer tear the AHL apart again this season.
Yeah, I think he's setting himself up nicely for an NHL gig next season. He's just off the hook right now.
Keep in mind that it was Brust who was the last goalie to be cut from the Wild training camp, not Schaeffer. So someone in Minnesota some something in Brusty they like. (I think it was Troy Ward who said after the last game that that may be the reason Schaef's so on fire right now - he has something to prove.)
Of course, I'm biased, too. I really like Brust's style of play.
