Injuries injuries injuries
With the injured Rogers and Olvecky sitting out Tuesday, and then Hamilton and Lundbohm leaving the game injured, the Aeros clearly have a theme going.
As such, they've signed Jason Deitsch, who we all know and love, to a PTO. He's had a heck of a run since returning to the Brahmas in the CHL, nabbing 11 points in 8 games.
They've also signed Mike Hamilton , which won't be confusing at all if Ryan Hamilton is back in the lineup. Not. at. all. "Hamilton to Hamilton and back to Hamilton, heshootsheSCOOOOORES!" You ready, Joe?
Anyway, M. Hamilton has been with the Flames ECHL team, the Las Vegas Wranglers, but apparently impressed Quad Cities folks in pre-season, so maybe not a bad call there. We'll see how it goes.
Tomorrow is the annual Kids Day or whatever game. It's at 11 a.m., so it's a fun little way to play hookie for a couple of hours if you work downtown, though I highly recommend earplugs because there will be aboiut 8,000 kids there all screaming like banshees. It's not just loud, it's motherf**kin' loud. But you don't really ever get to see an Aeros game with that much noise, so it's quite something to behold.
