Monday in Central Park

Met up with Tory after her big TV debut (in which she did great) and skated for about 40 minutes at Wollman Rink in Central Park. The ice was surprisingly good considering they were just scraping it but not putting any new water down. It was pretty warm and sunny out so additional water wouldn't have frozen anyway. It was getting pretty bad by the time I finished a little after noon.

It's a huge rink, too, but sort of triangle shaped. And it was lousy with children today. Gonna check the weather and see if it's getting down to freezing again at night. Other than the melting and the children, the ice was pretty nice.

Mostly just skated and chatted but I hung around after and did a few laps of swizzles. It was just too crowded to work on stopping.
