Just heard on XM Radio

Hopped in my car to pick up some breakfast and heard an analyst say that ever since John Tavares lost Cal Clutterbuck as a linemate, his play has diminished significantly.

Oh snap.

Cal is the key, bitches. I've been saying...

I heard that too, this AM and was surprised by it.

It happens to be very, very true.

I don't know why it's so hard for people to see it (or maybe it's just admit it. There too busy focusing on the "Stars" to notice the real Hockey.).

Well, not getting to see Tavares play in juniors, both with Cal and without, it's hard to say. I'm too lazy to go look at his numbers but it stands to reason that Cal would certainly create some open ice for whatever hot shot he's playing with. And has enough offensive touch to take advantage of playing with a top line player.
