"You still have to get a few you shouldn't but you really do HAVE to get all the ones you should."

You made quote of the week on my whiteboard at work for the next few days. And the heat lamps for the doggies and water wells took a pretty big hit, too.Snikpiphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06109668996490816342noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8705820500334920463.post-8753759180691865632010-01-05T23:42:38.034-06:002010-01-05T23:42:38.034-06:00You should have rolled on down to the Rosenberg De...You should have rolled on down to the Rosenberg Deep Homo. (Um...that's just how I say "Home Depot" btw.) That's the one I work in. We have the plankets and water spigot covers up front. However, the whole town had gone crazy over the space heaters once it hit 50, so we're out.

And yes, it's good to let out a good solid "FUCK YOU!", but when you absolutely mean it you take a chance on the ol' BP going way up. Happened to me the other day. Wasn't fun. Chest pains, tingly arm and everything. So, time for me to get out the duck feathers and start to let things roll of my back for a bit (easier said than done, right?).Snikpiphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06109668996490816342noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8705820500334920463.post-20591345880906447612010-01-05T18:49:27.496-06:002010-01-05T18:49:27.496-06:00Buddha, they sure do it for hurricanes. Thinking in a positive way does not change the situation at all. Acting in a way that is beneficial to the situation and has a POSITIVE accent on the consequences is the way to really look at things. It goes back to the whole thing that actions speak louder than words, and if you can't do what you're saying, than pack it up and take it home.

Honesty and integrity are things that I think have been lost in our society today, especially in the younger generations. I think you're right in that those things should be what's focused on.

And I love a good "Fuck you". Sometimes, it's just the only thing that fits. And why is it that "THE F WORD" is higher on the 'bad word' scale than any other words? I've always wondered, yet never asked. Hmmm...Allynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8705820500334920463.post-36805945918191076772010-01-05T16:00:43.342-06:002010-01-05T16:00:43.342-06:00As for Home Depot / Lowe's not having those it...As for Home Depot / Lowe's not having those items for you: They are huge companies that have no brain. They do not see a two day freeze as an opportunity to serve their customers. It is sad, to be sure. Want me to ship you one / some?

On positivity: it makes me sick some times. Every boss I have ever had says I need to be more positive, that I am a pessimist. I am not a pessimist. Kevin is a pessimist. I am a realist. If the situation calls for someone to speak up and say "This is a shitty situation," then why am I called a pessimist when I do so?

I hate the idea that positive thinking can save the world. I am a fairly positive thinker, and yet I know that the only thing that is going to change anything is positive action, not positive thinking.

Well... that, and using your brain every now and again. But that is unlikely.BReynoldshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10999914749902756848noreply@blogger.com
